Arkham Knight Upgrade Complete

I upgraded my Arkham Knight costume. I got the top, bottom, and tights at Hot Topic. I originally had a larger size, but Ive dropped weight. Ive replaced the top, but haven’t seen the next size down on the skirt. No big, as the top can hold the skirt up.

I was not looking to spend a lot of money on this.

The top, however, does not come with the extra bits – it was a plain halter. First I adjusted that strap so it fit snugger. I added the harness and choker to it.

I took a white lace shrug I already had and added the cuffs to it.

The gauntlets I had made for Arkham City, with the ruffles from a kit I had bought from Spirit in October.

So new things for this was material that better matched and rings. I spent $8 additional dollars

Harassment

Harassment comes in many forms.

Constantly DMing me about how nice I am or how pretty with literally no other substance, no matter how many times I try to redirect the conversation, is creepy.

Waxing poetic about my boobs and rear without being able to talk about anything else is very creepy. Yes I have boobs and an ass. In other news, the sky is blue and grass is green.

Also creepy: Only messaging me after I post a costume when you never really talked to me in a decade of being acquaintances or tagging me in explicit images

Getting pissy because I don’t respond right away is downright disturbing.

Begging for a picture is always disturbing and very very sad.

Not that it should matter why I don’t feel like being your personal chatbox, but if you can’t respect when I say “Im busy” or “Im spending time with my family” or the extremely personal truth of prolonged conversations give me anxiety, then guess what? We aren’t friends. When you are blowing up my DM, it triggers my anxiety.

And because you can’t respect my boundaries, I block you.

These are only some of the more recent issues Ive dealt with, mostly on Instagram. A couple on facebook. Someone has tried to send me shower pix (we laughed), another weirdo wanted me to be his mommy o_O One tried to follow me under a different account after I blocked his first. Your second one gets blocked too. You don’t think Id figure it out?

Stop being a “nice guy.” Put your goddamn phone down and go outside and fucking learn some social skills.

Newsflash – women don’t like creepers. Harassment isn’t fun and no, you don’t get to qualify what harassment is or isn’t. Harassment = lack of respect.

That being said, I have met a number of great people who understand and respect boundaries and who don’t lose their fucking mind if I don’t reply back. Or if I say Im not in a mood to talk actually RESPECT that.

Costuming Updates

-SOOOO Rochester couldn’t sort my Star Trek uniform correctly and sent it to a town an hour south of me. SRSLY >_< Numbers are hard to read for Rochester, apparently. So NOT getting it today like I was supposed to.

-Just need to add diamond appliques to my gloves for my Arkham City Upgrade

-All needed components for my Lara Croft costume are in. Maybe do a quickie test shot tonight

-I got inspired to alter my Arkham Knight costume to better look like how it should from an Insta friend. She has the same outfit I do and made some small alterations to get it closer. Ill put that on my plate when all the above happens.

After that, who knows.

It looks like it skipped a couple of scans and had a delay at some point, probably due to weather warnings.

So today has been one year since my dad passed. Giving the go-ahead to take him off of life support was the hardest thing I have ever done thus far.

Ive been trying to keep distracted. Small tasks and listening to The Greatest Showman soundtrack on loop. Keep my brain elsewhere….but it hasn’t always worked.

In other news for today, one of my Bestie’s and I saw The Greatest Showman and its OUTSTANDING! I bought the soundtrack with my google credit 😀

Black Widow Complete

So I can scratch this one off the list. Its been on the backburner for many years and I finally put my foot down and said Id do it.

Im so glad she is blonde in the new movie – I did not want to buy another wig!

Hopefully I will take better pictures next week when its a little warmer :O

Everything is all black, so its hard to see, plus the lighting is really bad in my craft room – but that’s the one with the mirror lol

HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Oh my goodness what a crazy last couple of days!

As you can see, I finished one last costume in 2017! I bought everything for it in October, but got derailed by a few other costume requests. Ive posted updates on my instagram as I got pieces done. Those stockings were a bitch. I can’t trust McCalls patterns >:(

Oh and HAPPY NEW YEARS!

HAPPY BUFFALO BILLS BACK IN THE PLAYOFFS!

We spent NYE with friends watching The Last Jedi. Before the movie started, I still didn’t know the outcome of the Bengals/Ravens game. Although when I got teary 15 minutes into the movie for no discernible reason, I knew the playoffs were made!

Im so excited, but also really sad that I can’t be talking with my dad about this. Id get to say “I told you so” about having a good feeling about our new coach and send him links from all the different videos on social media. Id tell him that I would need a Kyle Williams jersey and that despite the zero degree temps, everyone here is excited. As I say about Buffalo, Hope springs eternal every Fall….and that hope paid off this season.

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/Whatever

Kinda hit me that my dad isn’t around to call and give a holiday greeting to, but that’s life;

I honestly didn’t feel “In the spirit” much this year. I didn’t decorate or anything. 🙁

Thought I would change up the costume for this holiday post 🙂
